Jarmila Van Arsdell (Mrs. Van), Music Instructor

Mrs. Van is a dedicated music instructor with a Masters in Education (early childhood education focus) with additional university classes in music education. She brings diverse experience working with students of all ages and abilities, but she has a special knack for guiding young beginners into the world of music. Accredited with Kindermusik, a program that uses music and movement to promote early childhood development, she effectively nurtures young learners' musical abilities. Trained in piano and violin at a conservatory, her teaching style is eclectic. One of Mrs. Van's greatest accomplishments is that one of her first piano students is now a music teacher themselves! Beyond her musical talents, she is a parent with college-aged twins who both participate in music. Relocating to Bellingham from Spokane, WA in January 2024, Mrs. Van has a profound appreciation for the healing power of music.
